Dec 17, · In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, VA Medical Centers across the country – including the Northern Arizona VA Health Care System in Prescott, Arizona (pictured above) – hosted Pink Out! events to support women Veterans and connect them with VA’s health care services. For years October and the color pink have symbolized Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The familiar pink ribbon stands for prevention, detection, treatment, and increased breast cancer awareness. As communities worldwide spread information on this disease, and raise money for treatment research, learn how breast cancer is linked to your oral health.
